Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest in USA. I’ve lived in the desert and on the beach but keep coming back to the mountains. Began running wilderness trips for kids and college students in 2001. I’m a regular at several local crags in the Portland Oregon area. I also love mountaineering and backpacking.

MA adventure education- Prescott college, Master Educator of wilderness ethics- NOLS, Climbing wall instructor and single pitch instructor candidate- AMGA, Level 2 kayak instructor, wilderness first responder NOLS, 600+ days educating in the wilderness.

Amazing class! I really enjoyed learning about the spiritual aspects of tea ceremony. Jonathan is a great teacher and creates a very comfortable and holistic learning environment. My perspective on drinking tea has been forever changed!
