Music Theory

Beginning, intermediate, or advanced musicians will appreciate high-level instruction about the ways in which pitches, scales, intervals, melodies, harmonies, rhythm, forms, and timbres interact to create the logic of the music you love to practice and perform.

Learn how to determine what makes a piece of music "tick" using a variety of analytical methods. Become fluent in the techniques of the language of music as a precursor to improvising and composing. Your work will involve completing exercises and practice activities outside of each session.

Open to creating a small class for you and your friends/colleagues.

The first session is always complimentary. References are available on request.
