Rosa María Villacorta

I love teaching Italian language. I've taught Italian for more than 10 years and my students have always succeded learning the language. I started studying Italian when I was 14 because my mother tongue is Spanish. It was so much fun! I fell in love with the language and I won a contest about Italian culture and language in 1994. In 2002 I went to Italy to take advanced courses of phonetics, grammar, literature and history of the language at the University of Perugia. When I came back I moved to Cusco and became an Italian teacher. It makes me happy to see how the world becomes bigger and beautiful for people who learn a foreign language. Learning a new language is good not only for your brains, but for your soul. This is the reason why I’d like to continue doing this for many years to come.

Rosa Maria is a patient and an engaging teacher. She teaches by explaining and then repeating the words. The lesson exercises

are a good way to take away and practice what we learned. We will continue our lessons as we are hoping to travel to Italy in 2022.
