Sonja Anise

Sonja spent her youth forming her artistic identity through various programs and experiences. After attending New Mexico School for the Arts (2010-2013), she moved to Oregon and has been self-driven in building bodies of work and expanding their reach & scope. She is currently working toward her Masters in Arts Education. Her work is best described as figurative expressionism, focusing on the intersection of physical and transcendent themes that create human perception.

Sonja's work was juried into Umpqua Valley Arts Association Artworks Northwest Exhibit, 2018, as well as the City of Eugene Mayor’s Art Show 2018. She previously taught mixed media classes through OSLP Arts & Culture program. Her work has been published in the We'Moon 2017 datebook & greeting card collection.
