Drumming With A Djembe

Finding your "sense of rhythm" is as easy and simple as counting 1, 2, 3, 4 repeatedly. Listening to your own heart is one place we can start; doing it with another, it's possible to discover even more.

Drumming has been used for centuries a way to unite individuals and tribes. As a universal language everyone can relate to, learning how to listen and accompany is fundamental when playing with one another.

Drumming is essential to any song, whether it is a steady bass beat that identifies the one, or a “tone” or “slap” note achieved with strong callous. Articulating any of these notes on djembe (our weapon of choice) is an honorary signature of a master.

The first thing you hear before coming into this world is the beat of your mother’s heart. We help you rediscover the importance of the “heartbeat”. Drumming relaxes, energizes and motivates in a way that can only be explained by experiencing it.
