Writing Magical Realism

Magical realism is a kind of storytelling in which the everyday and the impossible come together.

This course will focus on writing stories in the magical realist mode -- either two or three stories, depending on enrollment. We will read work by established writers but also devote plenty of time to discussion of students' work.

All readings will be provided by the instructor. The only thing you need to bring is your imagination.
