Let's Make Fresh Floral Corsages and Boutonnieres

Do you have a prom, homecoming dance, or wedding coming up? Join this class to learn how to make elegant or fun wearable floral creations- a wrist corsage and boutonniere!

I'll show you step by step how to make a beautiful wrist corsage, also called a "wristlet".

In this live session, We'll make two wrist pieces- the first will be a standard, tried-and-true florist style wristlet with the elastic band. These are very sturdy and great for wearing to a High School dance!

The second will be the more modern, fashionable bracelet-style wristlet. So easy and fun to make. These are great for that high-style wedding!

I'll also show you how to create a basic pin-on boutonniere, which typically the groom wears, but ladies can wear them too. It is a very nice accent of fresh floral that isn't overpowering or heavy. Just a fun little bit of floral to make an outfit super special!

Making corsages and boutonnieres are actually a great job skill. If you've ever wanted to work at a flower shop, or collaborate with a wedding floral design business, you will be placed on the "hire now" list if you can expertly make a corsage. At prom season, florists make hundreds of them.
Some weddings have every member of both families in wristlets and pin-ons. The retail price for these creations are not cheap! These are a money-maker for any thriving floral business. So why not sign up, and learn how to make them in this course?

Once you register, I'll send you a list of optional supplies to acquire or buy on your own- this will include tools, wire, tape, glue, and of course, the flowers! (I'll tell you where to get them too!)

You can follow along and make your own as we go, or you can simply watch and take notes.

When you make your own wearable flower pieces, you can add your own personality, style, and make them totally unique for a special event!

Teacher's Bio: Hello! My name is Sara. I have worked in all aspects of the floral industry since 2001. My favorite job was working as lead floral designer for an award-winning event company in Las Vegas, NV. My work there included many celebrity weddings, New Years Eve parties, charity fundraisers, conventions, and slot tournaments on casino floors. I loved creating over-the-top floral masterpieces when the Vegas budgets were large. I also liked digging deep and being resourceful to come up with magic when the corporate decor budget was small. My flower creations have been displayed in restaurants, spas, wedding chapels, and hotel VIP suites. I've also made flower arrangements in many florist shops, funeral homes and at grocery stores. Flowers are my life!! I'm so excited to share the many aspects and ever-changing trends of floral design with people. The truth is, anyone can make a beautiful flower arrangement. The first requirement is a natural love for flowers!
