Let's Make a Wearable Fresh Flower Headpiece!

Floral Headpieces or "halo's" can be a beautiful wearable item to add to a wedding ceremony. Join this course to learn how to make a whimsical fresh floral headpiece for anyone to wear!

These are fun to create, and have a big visual impact. Let's start with a very simple headpiece for a child can be made with all babies breath blooms, also called gypsophila. Using very small, delicate flowers will ensure this headpiece is lightweight and easy to wear.

Next we'll go through the steps to make a halo with mixed flowers. We'll add some greenery, different textures, and pretty blooms. It will likely be for someone with a larger head, and it will be easily bobby pinned to the wearer for security and style.

If you are making these for many people in a wedding party- maybe the bride and all bridesmaids, flower girls, It will be helpful to sign up for this class well in advance of the big day. I'll demonstrate how to measure the head, the wire, how to cut the flowers, and of course how to put it all together!

Sign up, and then I will send you a list of optional supplies and flowers for you to acquire or buy to make a flower crown. I'll tell you where to get everything too!

Making flowery headpieces can be fun and expressive too! Another way to add a little bit of love to a very special day.

Teacher's Bio: Hello! My name is Sara. I have worked in all aspects of the floral industry since 2001. My favorite job was working as lead floral designer for an award-winning event company in Las Vegas, NV. My work there included many celebrity weddings, New Years Eve parties, charity fundraisers, conventions, and slot tournaments on casino floors. I loved creating over-the-top floral masterpieces when the Vegas budgets were large. I also liked digging deep and being resourceful to come up with magic when the corporate decor budget was small. My flower creations have been displayed in restaurants, spas, wedding chapels, and hotel VIP suites. I've also made flower arrangements in many florist shops, funeral homes and at grocery stores. Flowers are my life!! I'm so excited to share the many aspects and ever-changing trends of floral design with people. The truth is, anyone can make a beautiful flower arrangement. The first requirement is a natural love for flowers!
