Teacher's Bio: My name is Emily and I am a professional Musical Theater Performer and experienced teacher. I have performed in musical theater productions all across the country and am a proud member of Actor's Equity Union. As far as teaching experience goes, I have worked as both a teacher and babysitter for many years with many different kinds of children. I currently teach private voice and dance lessons and I'm experienced with all ages. In the recent past, I've worked as an instructor at a performing arts summer camp where I was assigned mostly to the younger children, pre-school aged, teaching dance, music and acting. While at college, I spent my weekends performing at children's birthday parties. Along with performing as different princesses, I had to organize games and activities with the children, read stories and do crafts. Due to my extensive experience working with children, I believe I have a unique ability to truly connect and communicate with kids in a way that resonates with them and gets them excited about learning. I love sharing my passion for singing with kids and watching their creativity blossom and their confidence grow. In school, I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Musical Theater and am now in the city pursuing it as a career!
