Read Music in Three Hours

In the time it takes to watch a movie, you can learn how to read music!

All the basic fundamentals of music will be taught, including: the lines and spaces of the staff, the musical alphabet, the names and values of musical notes, bar lines, time signatures and more. If you can recite the first seven letters of the alphabet and learn to say them backwards, you can read music.

The class will include the use of Story Dialogues, learning activities, hands-on learning and other Accelerated Learning techniques.

At the conclusion of this course, you will be able to read music and even perform in a rhythm ensemble with your fellow classmates. You will be amazed how easy it is to learn how to read music. Specially designed handouts will be given to each student.

Teacher's Bio: Bob Schoenberg is a music teacher, composer and training specialist. He created Read Music in Three Hours and taught this course face to face for over 10 years in the Boston area. He has played French horn with the Harvard Summer Pops Band, the MIT Summer Band and a number of other community bands and orchestras. As a composer, he creates music and musical exercises specifically for his classes. Some of his compositions have actually been performed in public. As a Trainer, he uses a variety of training techniques that are highly effective in his classes. Besides a degree in Music Education, he also holds a Masters Degree in Critical & Creative Thinking. Students describe his classes as entertaining, inter-active and highly effective.
